Mechanical Breakdown Protection
CornerStone offers mechanical breakdown protection in the form of service contracts, certified pre-owned and limited warranty programs under the Xtended Auto program. There are three traditional auto mechanical breakdown series and an exotic vehicle coverage offering.
Xtra – This series places a focus on coverage for higher mileage and older vehicles. What is unique about this series is the ability to build customized coverage based on the customer’s needs. A base powertrain warranty can be selected and additional components can be added to the coverage a-la-carte.
Xpanded – The target market for this series includes moderate to higher mileage vehicles with a unique unlimited mileage term. Going beyond the standard eligibility of current + 20 model years and up to 200,000mi, vehicles of any age and any mileage can qualify for coverage.
Xtensive – This series was designed with the franchise car dealer in mind with benefits such as consequential damage and an increased rental car benefit. Geared for newer and lower mileage vehicles, Xtensive offers new car as well as pre-owned coverage.
Xotic – This series offers coverage for truly exotic vehicles that are not normally eligible under a standard service contract program.
CornerStone’s non-exotic coverage is available post-sale!
Ancillary Bundle Protection
CornerStone has a full suite of ancillary protection products that offer coverage against costs associated with the vehicle’s appearance. These coverage options can be purchased as a bundle, in CornerStone Complete, or custom coverage can be built by selecting coverage a-la-carte in CornerStone Choice.
Cornerstone Choice
Tire & Wheel – This provides coverage for tires and wheels attached to the covered vehicle that are damaged by a road hazard, such as nails, glass or potholes. Ultimate Tire & Wheel can be selected for additional coverage that adds cosmetic wheel coverage – including wheel repair from curb scrapes.
Windshield – Coverage for the repair of the front windshield when objects propelled from the road impact the windshield creating a chip or crack. In the event repair is not possible, there is a $500 windshield replacement benefit that can be used towards the replacement of the windshield.
Paintless Dent Repair – The paintless dent repair (PDR) process removes dents/dings from the body of the vehicle without harming the paint of the vehicle. This coverage also includes up to a $250 benefit of PDR for hail damage.
Key Protection – In the event of a lost or damaged key fob, Key Protection will cover expenses associated with the repair/replacement of the key – including programming.
Roadside Assistance – When an unexpected no-start, breakdown, flat tire or lock-out takes place, roadside assistance is available 24/7 to help get you back on the road quickly.
CornerStone Complete
This provides all coverage options from CornerStone Choice, with Ultimate Tire & Wheel, and adds the following in a single bundled coverage:
Interior Repair – In the event a stain, rip, tear, burn or crack takes place on the interior of the vehicle, this coverage provides repair coverage to fabric, seats, dashboards and more.
Trip Interruption – When unexpected breakdowns take place away from home, this valuable coverage offers a daily dollar amount benefit that can be used towards lodging/meal expenses for up to 3 days.
Optional Lease-End Benefit – For leased vehicles, this optional added benefit to CornerStone Complete will provide up to $1,500 towards lease-end expenses such as dent/ding/scratch repair, windshield repair,
interior repairs and cosmetic wheel repairs.
Guaranteed Asset Protection
In the event of a total loss, Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) will pay the difference between what is owed at the time of loss and the value of the vehicle at the time of loss (insurance settlement amount).
GAP offers a $1,000 deductible coverage benefit.
Optional GAP Plus benefit that will provide a $1,000 credit towards a replacement vehicle when purchased from the selling dealer.
